Simon & Lydia - Matched with Birth Mother!

Dear Birthparent,

We can only imagine how difficult this time is for you, the decisions you are making must be very hard. We admire your courage in considering adoption for your baby.
We would be truly honored to be chosen by you to bring up your baby.

About Us

We are Simon and Lydia, we met when we both joined a local volunteer group in our small home town. We fell in love and married within two years. We share the same values and sense of humor. We understand each other, enjoy being with each other and share a love that we are grateful for everyday. We live just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Our home is cozy and warm with a safe yard. We have great neighbors on our street. We were both born in Ireland, we are American citizens and have lived her for over eight years. We chose Boston because we had family in this area. We visit Ireland at least once every year. With the help of fertility treatments I did get pregnant, but sadly we lost the baby late in the pregnancy. We decided to follow our dreams of adopting and we never gave up hope of having a family. This is your amazing gift to give. In 2003 we adopted Sam, and now we would love to adopt again. Our dream is to have our children grow up in a happy home like we both did, to be confident and secure surrounded by people who love them.

What We Like

Lydia – by Simon
Lydia is a happy and contented person; she has a sunny and calm disposition that appeals to people. She has a sweet smile, she’s soft-spoken and gentle and above everything else she loves being a Mommy. Lydia is the youngest of four siblings, nine nieces and nephews and six god children, she has lots of experience with kids. She loves art and music, cooking and growing flowers.

Simon – by Lydia
He is a big-hearted, thoughtful man with gentle brown eyes and a big bear hug. Simon often says family comes first, he works hard and loves sports by he always puts us first in his life. Simon’s a wonderful father, happy to do puzzles or play ball for hours. He is a manager in an engineering company. He is very good with math and has volunteered his time as a tutor for children in local inner city projects. What I love most about Simon is his kind nature and gentle laugh.

Sam is a bright and content little boy, will be five in December 2006. Sam’s very excited about the prospect of being a big brother, he thinks James is nice name for a boy (or girl!), and hopes with all his little heart that he or she will like to dance too.
